We certify educational institutes fulfilling certain conditions as PostgreSQL CE certified schools.

Merits of Certified Schools

Certified schools are permitted to use PostgreSQL logos (→ Using Logos). Also, Certified schools are introduced and linked on this web site. The other merit is when we make PostgreSQL CE promotions, certified schools are also introduced with the promotion.

Requirements

There are two ways to be certified as a PostgreSQL CE certified school. However, there is no difference in merits between the two.

1 - Screening

For those educational institutes who wish to be certified, please contact PostgreSQL CE Office. We will examine the contents and conditions of the lectures, and certify the institutes whose examination result meets the standard. The institute to be examined also covers the cost of the screening.

2 - Training Partnership

For those institutes administering courses through our PostgreSQL Training Partnership system. They are automatically certified as PostgreSQL CE certified schools. We recommend this method for educational institutes planing on starting new PostgreSQL courses from now.

PostgreSQL Training Partnership

We offer text books and other supplies for those educational institutes who wish to open a course in PostgreSQL. We are inviting new partners to administer PostgreSQL Introduction Training, originally administered by SRA OSS. You are allowed to customize text and curriculum, and only use contents and follow-up support from us.

Target Course

PostgreSQL Introduction Training (targeted for PostgreSQL CE Silver)

The contents correspond to PostgreSQL CE 7.4 Silver, and is the best to study for the examination. It is a 2-day course using PCs, and lectures the foundation of database and SQL, installation of PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL's various functions, and the basis of database administration.

Using Logos

Using PostgreSQL CE logos without notice is prohibited. If you wish to use the logos, please send e-mail to PostgreSQL CE Office with the usage purpose. For the press, certified qualifiers, and certified schools usage, we will provide logos of various size in GIF or EPS file format. The certified school logo can only be used by PostgreSQL CE certified schools.

For those who wish to use logos for links in web pages, no particular procedure is needed, unless they are used under the following usage agreement.

Link Logos Usage Agreement

• SRA OSS Inc. consents the logos used in purpose of web links under the scopes of the following rules.
  1. Logo images can be used inside web pages as image links to the PostgreSQL CE web site.
  2. Adding/changing the logo images' colors, shapes, texts, and other design elements is prohibited.
  3. If the logo image size should be enlarged/reduced, the logo must be enlarged/reduced proportionally.
